Well, what can I say? I have just experienced, not to be glib or anything, a true fashion moment. I know, I know, you’ve heard it all before but this long and eagerly awaited comeback was the bomb! I mean the line up, well what can I say, was amazing! As Tom himself stood at the side the most glamorous of all narrating the evenings events in the most exquisitely tailored tuxedo with the presence of a true movie star describing each wonderous creation Marisa Berinson in a cobalt blue floor length sequin gown, Lou Doillon in a black tuxedo jump suit, Rita Wilson who stole the show in a black fllor length gown acting out the diva, Amber Valletta in a wonderful tailored two piece leopard woven trouser suit and the list continues Liya Kebebe, Stella Tennant, Natalia Vodianova, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, Emmanuelle Seigner, Joan Smalls, Karen Elson, Lauren Hutton, Rachel Feinstein, Daria, Lisa Eisner, Daphne Guinness and to top it all off? The piece de resistance, bootylicious herself, Beyonce! OMG! It was amazing! And the clothes, well, simply beyond! Exquisite. The blush coloured, floor length fringed gowns as worn by Julianne Moore took your breath away. Laser tailored suits skimmed the body and Karen Elson in a cobalt bue fringed cocktail dress with her glossy red mouth was absolute glamour! It felt every piece that emerged surpassed the previous and was the most wonderful exercise in if you do something do it right, preferably like this. I also got a bit of work o the side, standing in for Terry Richardson’s assistant. Tom we love you and long may you bring us endless fashion happiness.
