Glass partition, letters,” said X in Last Year at Marienbad. And the Chanel show was exactly like that: sad romance, hanging heavy in the air. But we can’t help but feel that that particular moment in the film would have been more poignant if X had been dressed in blush-pink feathers. Maybe Karl could do a remake, starring Carmen Kass in a plume of marabou.
