‘Binky is a normal depressed rabbit, has a bad apartment and sees a therapist. Sheba is Binky’s ex-girlfriend. They met in a Coffee shop in 1981. Bongo, Binky’s illegitimate son is the product of a drunken night of ‘jungle passion’. Akbar and Jeff are brothers and/or lovers.’ These are not brief bio’s of those you’ll find on our masthead. Just a quick run down of comic book characters created by Matt Groening (The Simpsons) back in 1977. Currently inhabiting the window and interior of Dover Street Market, both designed to celebrate Groening’s Comme des Garcons ‘Binky & Sheba PLAY’ T-shirt collaboration. Greatly enjoyed wondering around the murals on a recent lunch break, find Binky and Sheba much better company than the strange characters I actually work with. Thank you Comme!
