I was about to quote some Spandau Ballet lyrics, as ‘Gold’ is of course the song which springs to mind whenever that luminous and most expensive of materials is mentioned. Would make a great little theme tune were these new Dior Homme sunnies to be launched with some kind of T.V campaign. But NO you fool! That would never happen! These are incredibly exclusive aviators with 18 carat frames, and only 50 pairs were manufactured at Dior’s specialized Japanese atelier. So that’s 49 pairs left to get your greasy mittens on…as I’m sure we’ll be sent a pair soon!
