Richard Prince’s first ever solo exhibition in Asia is now on display at Gagosian Gallery in Hong Kong until July 16th. Famed for his re-appropriated images of American Pop Culture, and successful collaboration with Louis Vuitton, Prince is also known for pioneering the process of ‘Rephotography’. His image Unitled (Cowboy) was the first rephotograph to raise more than one million dollars when it was auctioned at Christies in 2005. This leaves us wondering whether we’ll be told off for taking a few cheeky snaps of our favourite works when we visit? We’ve a tendency to act like naughty children on a class trip in gallery environments, especially when the work is this exciting! A must see.
