Has Marc Jacobs taken his cue from the Von Trapp family? Does he have his own Maria, yodeling away in the studio whilst transforming the curtains in snazzy sweater and trouser combos? Probably not. This is a proper celebration of spring. Sun faded colours, laser cut leather florals, carefully appliqued to create something more 3D than 2D. More girlish and relaxed than the strict winter offerings. Not wipe down. All very modest and buttoned up. There’s no emphasis on showing off the body. Fresh. She’s sixteen going on seventeen.
