STEFANO PILATI: COSTUME DESIGNS FOR ‘BETRAYAL’

I have serious issues with live performance- theatre more specifically. The problem is that without the barrier of a cinema screen, I’m too easily swept up in the emotion of things. Bit of a drama queen I suppose! Worried I’ll launch from my seat and end up centre stage surrounded by bewildered actors. The new Harold Pinter play ‘Betrayal’ premieres on The West End stage on June 16th, and features a stellar cast for me to strike fear in the hearts of. With the likes of Kristin Scott-Thomas, Douglas Henshall, and Ben Miles all dressed in costumes by Yves Saint Laurent’s Stefano Pilati, It’s pretty much guaranteed I’ll enter stage left (or right-who knows) and initiate some heavy petting. The opportunity to passionately become part of a world Stefano’s helped create is too much to resist! While I’d recommend the shows producers find a photo of me from  the contributors page and outright ban me from the plays venue. I’d highly recommend the rest of you pop down and enjoy Harold Pinter’s exploration of ‘various permutations of betrayal, over the course of a 9 year marriage.’ Heavy stuff. A must see.
