STELLA MCCARTNEY: L.I.L.Y, THE NEW FRAGRANCE

Those clever people at Stella are making the launch of their second fragrance a fully interactive one. Promising us a special ‘experience’ to better understand L.I.L.Y, which rather romantically was Paul McCartney’s nickname for Linda ( standing for Lily I love you). Just clicked on an email announcement, and been dragged through cyberspace and onto Facebook where (heart racing now) theres a bomb like countdown to the launch, which is exclusive to Selfridges on January 26th. The clever thing about the little FB app type thing I’m rifling through, is that yes, it’s very much interactive, but the one rather important sense it’s not stimulating is smell. We’re promised ’ a spring morning, dappled sunlight through the trees, a vision of a delicate lily of the valley’. So now we’re just desperate for a whiff!
