Backstage at Hermes we were reminded of Tom Vek’s video for ‘Aroused’ which cleverly parodies the ‘coolness’ of smoking in film & fashion. Team 10 were certainly aroused by the looks being lint rolled backstage at Hermes, which seemed (in our new years res withdrawal brains) to also be referencing the romantic waft of tobacco smoke. With biker leathers which would be best paired with a Marlon Brando chain puffing pout, and thick velvet suiting evocative of the classic smoking jacket. We even spotted a puff of smoke motif issuing across sweaters and shirts…or was it just us? Dashing through the fume filled streets of Paris from one show to the next, this collection could have pushed us entirely over the edge. In reality it was a nice little reminder that since kicking the habit, we’ve even more money to spend on Hermes. Hoorah!
