VICTORIA’S SECRET FASHION SHOW 2012: SECTION 2, DANGEROUS LIASONS
I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS. Enormous gates lowered from the ceiling and landed in billowing smoke- the likes I haven’t seen since old school top of the Pops. A hooded figure (think Scottish widows, but a lot more glam) emerging, and letting out a cry. Where have her angels gone?! Hooded figure disrobes, revealing herself to be Riri, and through the clouds of smoke a stampede of supermodels ensues, each taking a moment to interact with the singer, just fleetingly. Like the memory of some long lost love? My personal highlight was the gorgeous Shaninas entrance, who having described her excitement at runwaying alongside her idol Rihanna, was smiling uncontrollably in feather wings, silk jewelled corset and Victoria’s Secret Very Sexy Garter skirt using Swarovski Elements. The Barbadian beautys lingering eyes making her feel (surely) ‘like the only girl in the world’.
