CHANEL: ONCE UPON A TIME
Finally, the full length version of Karl Lagerfeld’s short film Once Upon a Time has premiered. Starring Keira Knightley as Coco Chanel, it tells the story of Mme Chanel’s first boutique in Deauville. My favourite characters, chosen on the basis of their names are Amanda Harlech as a lady of society, Stella Tennant as Lady de Grey and Lindsey Wixon as Miss Wonderbilt. You can imagine them meeting up at some fabulous champagne bar dripping in boucle and pearls and being outrageous. As Miss Wonderbilt says, “I’ll take everything. I’ll send for my secretary. By the way I’m Miss Wonderbilt”.
