MARC JACOBS: AUTUMN/WINTER 2013 ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN
Good campaigns have the ability to carry you somewhere very specific- as in another world, far better than your humdrum reality. The Marc Jacobs example has taken us to a volcanic Island inhabited by mullet haired gamine like Edie Campbell and Kristen’s gorgeous offspring Lily McMenamy. Despite the potential of your world as you know it being swept away any second by boiling lava, we’re imagining it’s a place where your daily exits are still really important. Exit being the operative word as it could well be your last outfit effort ever. And yes- points to Akki for making the mullet suddenly seem a glamorous/slightly subversive option next time you’re getting your do did.
