1EMILIO PUCCI: MILAN FASHION WEEK S/S14
Peter Dundas’ collection for Pucci created a new language of sexy combined with sportswear detailing. The main influence for the beading was Masai with a twist of hip hop mesh detailing with gorgeous vibrant beading on the dresses and the shoes which enforced the theme. The Athlectic theme was reworked with a couture hand, what appeared to be mesh air tech fabric was actually the softest buttery leather. Basketball shirts were lavishly decorated with massai beading. The fluid shapes too were urbanized with parkas made of the most delicate parachute silks that wafted as they moved along the catwalk. And of course what Pucci show would be complete without the skin tight mini sheaths.
