PAUL SMITH: ‘HELLO, MY NAME IS PAUL SMITH’ EXHIBITION AT THE DESIGN MUSEUM

The only difficulty with fashion exhibitions is the that in this age of boutiques that border on museum spaces themselves, it’s a bit of a struggle reminding ourselves that sweaters and such can’t be ordered down from mannequins and tried for size. Still, a fun time had by all this weekend at the opening of Paul Smith’s new exhibition at the Design museum. A must see in the build up to Xmas and it’s aftermath, which with it’s low key studio feel curation is easily managed on a hangover. And on the retail experience side of things- there’s always a gift shop to console, a major highlight of this one being the shows accompanying coffee table tome from Rizzoli.
