ACNE STUDIOS: HILMA AF KLINT
Jonny Johansson is giving us something of an art history tutorial with the new Hilma Af Klint Spring/Summer 14 capsule collection, and it’s very literal interpretation of the abstract pioneers works. Featuring prints which seem to of been taken directly from the Swedish artists works onto a selection of T-Shirts, fleece sweaters and scarves- our favourite pieces in the range are actually the bags. Free from the lumps and bumps of the human form (some more than others) we quite love the fact that carrying a simple tote, feels as though you’re simultaneously hanging a piece of priceless art (from your arm). Keep an eye out for us on the tube- where today we’ve been serving a pinch of the occult- adorned as we are in this series of strange symbols. Having a witchy moment whilst headed central.
