Haughty ‘n’ sporty, that’s how we would describe the Lacoste girl. She had an air of 1970s of tennis champion about her. Think Martina Navratilova. But it wasn’t just in the polo shirts and tennis skirts. It was in the white sneakers and the colourful stripes. The addition of fur on top (teddy bear coats) and brogues on foot, added haughtiness to the sportiness. She’s a dab hand in on the tennis courts and in the nightclubs. Well, that’s what we think anyway.
