The setting for Jun Takahashi’s show was quite otherworldly. Eerie, ethereal light filled the room. So as they models came down the runway they looked like aliens landing from outer space. The plastic masks that covered the girls’ faces added to this sci-fi feel. Lots of things were oversized – the trousers, the jackets – of the bomber and varsity variety – and the pearl earrings. Paintings, classically executed, covered some pieces – again, to an eerie but strangely beautiful effect. P.S. We like the look of those furry clompers.
