Our favourite crazy German has “Bernhardified” a space a Los Angeles’s Pacific Design Centre. But what does Bernhardification involve? Well, a sculptural installation with a fashion sensibility according to my friend Mr P Release, who went on to say, “It’s a meditation on the future of commerce and a ‘thinking-forward exhibition’. It includes video, photography and displays of ephemera and object.” Ooh, we love a few bits of ephemera. This installation encapsulates Willhelm’s forecast of the fashion experience in the 22nd century. So, fasten your seatbelts and get ready to see the future of fashion.
When Fashion Shows the Danger Then Fashion Is the Danger: Bernhard Willhelm and Jutta Kraus. 3000, until May 17; MOCA Pacific Design Centre, Los Angeles.
