Louis Vuitton Keys To A Passion Exhibition

Yesterday Louis Vuitton whisked our editorial director off to Gay Paree, more specifically the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Gay Paree, to see their new exhibition entitled ‘Keys to a passion’. The subject of this exhibition? Well, according to my reliable source Mr Press Release, “works which have been key to the development of modernity and have changed the course of art history in the 20th century.” There’s some Matisse, some Mondrian and some Munch. (Munch as in Edvard the artist not as in Bunch the yoghurt.) My, there are a lot of big names in this exhibition. In fact, we don’t remember seeing so many big names in one place since last night’s Tidal launch. See that painting with the naked chaps? That’s a Matisse. And that one with the face that looks like the Face Screaming in Fear emoji? That’s a Munch. And that one with colours like a Fab ice lolly? That’s a Rothko. And to think my parents thought a degree in art history would be a waste of time. According to Alex Fury’s Instagram, he thought the exhibition was “dead good” and our editorial director thought one painting was like “the establishment where he purchases his Viagra”.

Keys to a passion, April 1-July 6; Fondation Louis Vuitton, Paris, France.
