There’s nothing quite like a Prada campaign in your inbox to perk you up on a Tuesday lunchtime. The latest menswear one is all about capturing a “New Wave essence”. Well, that’s what the press release says. “Nothing more than is necessary”. And really, looking at it, do you need anymore? Shot in New York and starring Michael Shannon, Tye Sheridan and Scoot McNairy, it’s shot by Craig McDean “classic black and white against a stark studio environment. An abstract, almost graphic space whose hints of depth come only in softly intimated shadows. Nothing interferes with the protagonists’ bold, crisp silhouettes”. And did we mention the film?
