Remember Mary Weiss? Of the Shangri La’s? Who sang Out in the Street? Well, the new AW15 Miu Miu campaign, ‘Subjective Reality’, shot by Steven Meisel and starring, wait for it, Maddison Brown, Hailey Gates, Mia Goth and Stacey Martin, is very Mary Weiss. There’s even public kissing with a bad boy dressed in sleeveless leather and what could be more Shangri La’s than that. It’s sort of like the John Waters interpretation of a Shangri La song, a little voyeuristic, weird street peeper, good girls gone bad with style. And to be quite honest, is there a better kind of girl?
