Like so many other designers this season – Roksanda, Wang, Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci – Phillip Lim is celebrating a decade in business. he decided to do it in style – that is, by presenting a stylish spring/summer 2016 that smacked of the louche, laid-back cool he, his clothes, and most importantly his girl (or rather, the legions of them that populate the world) are best known for. Slouchy khaki cargos came in couture-ish silk gazar, ruffle blouses were scooped away at the back, maybe slashed at the elbows and underlaid with aertex, epitomising the sports-luxe, high-low mix that Lim has made a foundation of his business. It looked great. Then again, that’s no surprise: he has done for ten years now.
