Reality. It’s not something fashion frequently concerns itself with. Not glamorous enough. Nor escapist. That’s why it’s odd when the most unapologetically glamorous and unabashedly escapist collection of the 2016 cruise season was born entirely of reality. “I decided to go back to the street,” said Alessandro Michele of Gucci. For said collection was designed by him. “I believe there is a fluid and organic contamination that exists between the catwalk and the street. Fashion, especially ready-to-wear, is something real, made for everyday and for everyone to express their own creativity and individuality”
