032c: Menswear SS25

032c might be the Berlin-based magazine revered by cool girls worldwide, but this season, it proved it was far from just that. For SS25, its ready-to-wear arm, which is headed by creative director Maria Koch, firmly impressed its mark on fashion’s design arena.

Shuffling the fash pack over to the impressive Institute du Monde Arabe, the 41-look offering entitled Everything Counts embraced minimalism and timelessness, incorporating sleek silhouettes throughout. Dropped waists, boxy shapes and expert tailoring gave the collection an air of effortless chic, targeting the same band of people who read its publication – stylish, unbothered Berghain-goers who are way too cool to wear a bright colour palette. Embroidery and graphic prints popped up occasionally, drawing on both conceptual art and daily life as key inspirations.

Collaborating with Georgian-American artist Ketuta Alexi-Meskhishvili, a camera-less photograph entitled I am Kurious Green was printed across various garments. By placing the fabric on a film negatively exposed to LED lights, the partnership infused the idea of light and softness impacting the hardcore into its respective looks. Well thought-out and with a sharp, cutting edge, this season stamped 032c ready-to-wear firmly on the map.
