Le Bon Marché Announce 24 Sèvres, Their New Online Shopping Experience

Something nice about shopping online isn’t there? Mostly for the fact that you don’t have to move (we hate moving) and all you really have to do is drag mouse, click and *ta-dah* – a whole package full of fashion goodies wedged through your postbox the next day. Or, in the case of one member of Ten Towers who shalt not be named, a monthly round of hair loss tablets. Whatever floats your boat. Excited then, to hear the news of Le Bon Marché’s new e-com platform, which isn’t just any e-com platform, but an online shopping “experience”. Ouuu. Backed by LVMH, it will be called 24 Sèvres and promises 150 luxury brands (including Louis Vuitton – pictured above – and Christian Dior) in a totally immersive environment, as well as click-and-collect in Paris, shipping to more than 75 countries and the possibility of video consultations with stylists. Phewf. Word is that it’s going to be a truly Parisian take on online shopping – and really, what do Parisians know better than fashion? They’ll celebrate its opening with a special capsule collection, where 68 brands have created one-off pieces. But we’re just gabbing now.
