Hyperventilating mode: ON. Possibly the most anticipated collaboration of the year has just got its first look. In the just-released 9-second video, the worlds of Westwood and Burberry collide in a way that we could only wish for. The Burberry check turns into a punk plaid in the hands of Lady Vivienne – a pleated kilt-like mini and a pair of platform Oxford shoe are the first two pieces to be revealed. Some hawt black patent leather completes the joined vision of the two super-brands, proving just how much Riccardo Tisci and Vivienne Westwood have in common.
“Vivienne Westwood was one of the first designers who made me dream to become a designer myself and when I first started at Burberry, I knew it would be the perfect opportunity to approach her to do something,” says Tisci of the project. It’s an exhibition of British style, piecing together moments of heritage and creating a plan for the future. December just got even more exciting.
The Burberry x Vivienne Westwood collection will be launching in December 2018.
