Izabel GoulartAll hail Queen Neophitou and her army of Victoria’s Secret superhumans, who last night wowed the world in this year’s VS show – with enough glitter, sparkle and shiny model faces that it could be seen from space (probably). Through bleary eyes, Ten Towers scrolled through this morning’s looks with wonder – as we were transported from American psychedelia, in the ‘Boho Psychedelic’ section, to the Ol’ US of A in ‘Pink USA’ to a Fireworks section rounded out with Lily Aldridge in a $2 Million Dollar Bra. By way of Exotic Butterflies (a be-winged extravaganza), an elegant ‘Portrait of a Lady’ section and then towards Arctic climbs in ‘Snow Angels’ – a section complete with a real life snow shower. You can always rely of Victoria’s Secret for the most spectacular of magical mystery tours – a fitting celebration for the show’s 20th Anniversary, I think you’ll agree. But that’s not even taking into account the most important part – the long list of supermodels, from Victoria’s Secret stalwarts like Candice, Alessandra, Lily, Joan and Behati (yep, they don’t need surnames) to newbies like Kendall, Gigi and Taylor. Or the performances from The Weeknd, Selena Gomez and our very own Brit chanteuse, Ellie Goulding. Or, the fantastical jewellery by Eddie Borgo and shoes by Brian Atwood. So what was our favourite look? We can’t narrow it down to one. But we do have a soft spot for those little snowy all-in-ones and fluffy booties – a definite must for this year’s Christmas celebrations / just for everyday winter wear. And I mean, obviously we’ll take the Fantasy Bra too. Call it our expensive taste. Now, whilst we marvel in the show’s warm glow (and you too can, all the looks are above) we also are shedding a tiny tear. Because it’s over for another year. But, come December 8th, we can relieve it all when its shown on CBS. We’re preparing our viewing outfits as we speak – Sophia, can you smuggle back some wings in your hand luggage?
