Chartreuse, tobacco brown, violet and powder pink. Haider Ackermann’s collection was a succulent palette of fresh colour and tactile fabric, like taffeta and panne velvet in sensuous bias-cut dresses and his signature abbreviated, body-hugging tailoring. Ackermann always works to his strengths and delivers on emblematic styles his fans want, but the fresh punk mood of this show suggested he’s looking to widen his appeal.
