Let’s talk about guyliner. It’s about time we did. I wore it once. On a night out. The aim was to look like Brian Welch from Korn. The result however was more like a young Sinead O’Connor. I like Sinead O’Connor so wasn’t remotely perturbed. I haven’t picked up the guyliner (a fluidline eye pencil by MAC) since though. But, thanks to Emporio Armani’s autumn/winter 2015 collection, that might be about to change. The Emporio boys wore guyliner, you see. But they didn’t look like Brian or Sinead. They didn’t even look like Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean. They looked like Egyptian pharaohs wearing luxury Italian tailoring if anything. Because, aside from guy-liners they wore Sig. Armani’s latest menswear offering. A sea of black, grey and navy blue tailoring, interspersed with ochre. A collection for the style-savvy Italian stallion and all those aspiring to be one. Just remember guys, line those eyes to complete your autumn/winter 2015 look.
