Calvin Klein’s Pre-Fall girl is a bit of an artsy character. I like to imagine her somewhere in the countryside, discussing the literature of the day at her friend’s country pile. A modern day Bloomsbury set type thing. She dresses in that pieced together, collage-y way. It’s all very effortless – a little bit masculine, a little feminine. Relaxed tailoring, oversized silhouettes. And there’s lots and lots of nice coats. We’re particularly lusting after that wipe-clean patent duffle. Isn’t she a beauty? All in a warm, autumnal palette of caramel, grey mélange, black and cognac. The Pre-Fall look is completed with some sculptural jewellry that Mr. Costa collaborated with artist David Croland to create. Like that jewellry your art teacher wore. But better. It’s making us come over all inspired. Where’s our watercolours?
