A blast of Snoop, a slither of satin, a spa day. Alexander Wang’s spring Balenciaga show was light, fresh, simple and simply lovely. Models and model-slash-actresses – Wang mates and muses like Riley Keogh and Zoe Kravitz – padded out in hotel slippers and Wang’s crafty, cleverly-cuts lip dresses and slouchy cargo trousers. Shiny sateen was the key fabric, sinuous bias-cutting and unstructured tailoring the silhouettes, adding to a whole that felt unforced and easy, a delicate bow out for Wang’s tenure.
