RALPH LAUREN: RESORT COLLECTION 2015
During his voyage aboard the Dawn Treader, King Caspian explored and later named Deathwater Island in the Eastern Ocean of the Narnian World. On this island they discovered a lake which appeared to have a golden statue of a man lying on the bottom. After dipping his hunting spear in the water however, King Edmund realised that the water turned things to gold and that the statue lying on the bottom of the lake was actually the body of a Narnian lord – hence the island’s name, Deathwater. Judging by the wares from their resort collection, Ralph Lauren have paid a visit to this island. Their shoes, bags, belts and even a skirt and jacket seem all to have been dipped into that treacherous Narnian lake. But gosh, they must be heavy to wear. But perhaps these models are incredibly strong. Perhaps they are Amazonians. Under the guise of classy American women of course. For that’s what Ralph Lauren’s women are about: class.
